Mercedes AMG Project 1

Mercedes AMG Project 1

Years after its debut with a test version, the most powerful Mercedes-Benz cars are still running secret tests with the German company’s engineers.

We are talking in this news about a test version of the Mercedes AMG Project ONE, which first appeared at the Frankfurt Motor Show in 2017 with a test version paving the way for the next exclusive commercial production version.
Up front, you’ll notice a road-scraping splitter that can be extended at high speeds to help create more downforce – pressure caused by air moving around the car that pushes it into the ground and helps the tyres produce more grip. There’s also a huge scoop on the roof that funnels air towards the engine, and a vast shark fin mounted to the rear bodywork to make the car stable at high-speed.

Also visible in these photos is a retractable rear spoiler that’ll pop out of the Mercedes AMG One’s rear bodywork. In Race mode, this’ll provide extra downforce to help it corner quickly, and will double as a powerful airbrake.

The Mercedes AMG Project 1 is based on the same pulsed heart as the Formula 1 cars, which is a 1.6-liter V6 engine with an advanced turbo that transmits power to the rear wheels via an 8-speed gearbox, operating alongside it 4 electric motors, This makes the power of this car with all its engines working together exceeding a thousand horses.

Despite the huge performance, though, the One can claim – however tenuous – to have green credentials. It is capable of driving on electric power alone for up to 15 miles.
Mercedes-Benz Project 1 also acquired many parts derived from Formula 1 cars.

This Mercedes-Benz missile can accelerate from sleep to a speed of 200 km / h in a time less than 6 seconds, and a top speed of more than 350 km / h.

We mentioned in the past that it will only produce 275 copies of the world Mercedes AMG Project 1 All of these cars have been sold since 2017 and customers for 3 years are still waiting to make this exclusive super model.

The price of the AMG Project One, the exclusive car, which is the most powerful Mercedes-Benz that can run on public roads so far, is more than $ 2.7 million.
