In addition to the interior and exterior updates, engineers have focused on raising the levels of comfort, calmness and overall vehicle improvement, as well as dynamics.

In terms of design, the improved Lexus LS adopts a new front end featuring new triple headlamps with L-shaped DRL lamps and an updated bumper with square side sockets and chrome edges on the lower edges. In addition, the grille color has been changed to dark metallic.

As for the colors, the Lexus LS 2021 acquires a new body paint called Gin-ei Luster and it is applied using the Sonic method, which intensifies the volume of the coating containing radioactive materials (aluminum foil). It has a soft, mirror-like texture that Lexus says fits the car's lines well.

When it comes to interior design, the 2021 LS features a new “Nishijin & Haku” design that combines the Nishijin brocade and leaf trim, to improve comfort, the seat covers feature deeper stitch points while the base seat cushions feature lower-elastic urethane capabilities, resulting in more seats softness.

Interior changes are highlighted by a 12.3-inch widescreen touch screen display for the infotainment system compatible with SmartDeviceLink, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, the steering wheel and center console controls are now black, while a new key has been added to the seat heaters and wheel heater Driving to the central stack.

Lexus added the newly developed variable hanging suspension system to reduce damping force. Meanwhile, the vertical springs (rigidity) of the tires and the rigidity of the mounting bars provide improved performance.

Lexus has also made efforts to reduce noise within the 2021 Lexus LS, with both a hybrid version and a gasoline-powered model that are under active noise control and engine noise control. In the hybrid model, quietness is also improved by reducing the maximum engine revs during acceleration.

The Advanced Park system uses integrated cameras and ultrasonic sensors to park the vehicle automatically. Other new features include a larger digital rearview mirror and BladeScan AHS (Adaptive High Package System).

*Lexus LS is available with three engine options; The first is a multi-stage hybrid that combines a 3.5-liter V6 engine with two electric motors (or two generators) and produces 354 hp.

*The second is a 3.5-liter V6 with a natural traction system that uses the Atkinson cycle for direct injection and generates 311 horsepower and a torque of 380 Nm.

*The all-new third is a 3.5-liter V6 with a twin-turbocharged power output of 416 hp and a torque of 600 Nm. These engines are coupled with a 10-speed automatic transmission the first of its kind on luxury sedans.
