2023 Cadillac Lyriq, announces the future of American luxury cars

A remarkable moment for Cadillac has been documented as it illuminates the brand's future and lays the foundation for key concepts in the luxury automotive sector. The debut of a new 2023 Cadillac Lyriq commercial production vehicle is the culmination of a century of remarkable innovation and heralds the start of a whole new era.

As testing for the production version of the luxury SUV, the first for Cadillac to rely on electric power, skips its schedule, the brand has announced that customers can make reservations for this model starting in September 2021, with initial availability beginning. For the newest and most advanced Cadillac cars in the first half of 2022.

Thanks to the vehicle's electrical engineering, a new Cadillac Lyriq 2023 will be available with pioneering technology and impressive performance capabilities.

The 12-unit battery pack, 100 kWh and the Ultium rear-wheel drive platform deliver power that Cadillac estimates at 340 hp and 440 Nm of torque.

The latest luxury electric vehicle can travel more than 483 km (300 miles) of driving range when fully charged, according to Cadillac tests.

Lyriq also offers fast charging with direct current across public stations with a capacity of 190 kWh, enabling customers to add an extra mile of an estimated 76 miles of driving range during just a 10-minute charging period.

As for home charging, this new 2023 offers a class-leading charging unit at 19.2 kW, which can deliver up to 52 miles of driving range per charge hour.

To help customers take full control of the electrified driving experience, Cadillac Lyriq will feature variable next-generation Regen-On-Demand technology, as well as One-Pedal Driving feature for more convenient driving with a single switch.

And with Cadillac's new Regen-On-Demand technology, drivers can control the idle speed of a new Cadillac Lyriq 2023 or bring it to a standstill using a pressure-sensitive switch mounted on the steering wheel. Both technologies take advantage of regenerative braking energy to help maximize electric driving range.

Among the additional benefits of the first 2023 Cadillac cars that run on electricity:

Super Cruise, the industry's first truly optional hands-free driver assistance system in the automotive sector and can be used on compatible roads.

An impressive advanced 33-inch diagonal LED display with the ability to transmit over a billion colors.

Cadillac's next-generation Active Noise Cancellation system.

Slim line LED headlights with dancing sequential lights.

AKG sound system with 19 speakers and headphones.

Digital entry to the vehicle via KeyPass technology.

Dual level charging cord.

Standard 20-inch alloy wheels with 6 split-spoke wheels, or optional 22-inch dynamic alloy wheels with separate reverse-spoke style.

Customers will be able to choose from the exterior colors; Satin Steel Metallic or Stellar Black Metallic, interior colors; Sky Cool Gray Gray, and Noir Black.

The interior is elegant and minimalist with an emphasis on secondary and post-secondary design elements, including patterns delicately laser-engraved through the wood over the metallic trim, which is unprecedented. The large, curved LED screen is the central piece in the interior, and all components are artfully integrated, eliminating the lines between technical equipment, lighting and d├ęcor elements.

Perhaps the most striking example of Cadillac's successive iteration of the brand's designs is the front grille with a black crystal pattern.

Production of the first electric car from Cadillac is expected to start during the first quarter of 2022, and the price of a new 2023 Cadillac Lyric will start at $ 59,990.
